Sarah Tiana | 9:00 PM
Sarah Tiana has been a working comedian in Los Angeles for over six years. Originally from Calhoun, GA, Sarah's act emphasizes the ups and downs of a Southern childhood while peppering in her opinions of race and religion. Recently Sarah has been recognized for her "breakout performance" in four episodes as Carmen on Reno 911!'s 7th season. Five years ago she helped create a sketch comedy company called The Strait Jacket Society as a way to help young actors in Hollywood accelerate their stage time and gain exposure while still having fun. This experience also helped her become the only female performer on Showtime's "Jeff Garcia's Low Budget Madness" sketch show. A downright American, Sarah has done several tours of comedy for the troops and a recent trip to Iraq is highlighted in the documentary film, "We Love You Mrs. Bevins." Currently performing with Brett Butler in "The Southern Belles of Comedy," Sarah has also been seen on E!, the TV Guide Channel, Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen and she will never be seen in the three pilots she taped last year. more >>>

Bobby Lee | 9:45 PM
Bobby Lee, a native of San Diego, was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps running the family clothing store. But after stints in a local rock band and at the local community college, he was spotted by Frank Burns, the legendary manager of La Jolla’s Comedy Store, and the rest, as they say, is history. Lee rapidly became an in-demand stand-up comic with his unique Korean American perspective and charismatic on-stage personality.

In 1995, comedian Pauly Shore spotted Lee on stage and asked him to open his act in Las Vegas. Lee subsequently met Paulie’s mother, the celebrated owner of the Comedy Store, Mitzi Shore. He became a regular at the club and went on the road with comic Carlos Mencia.

Since joining MADtv in 1999, Lee has become a fan-favorite, known for his unique brand of pain-inducing, physical humor. He has created such memorable original characters as the comically confused film critic “Johnny Gan,” the world’s worst interpreter “Bae Sung;” and hapless warrior the Blind kung Fu Master.” And audiences have loved his takes on such real-world figures as Connie Chung and North Korean President Kim Jong Il.

Lee’s film credits include “Hardbreakers,” “Kickin’ It Old Skool,” “Killer Pad” and “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.” On television Lee has appeared in “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Mind of Mencia,” and has performed stand-up on "Late Friday," "Premium Blend" and “The Tonight Show.” He was also the host of this year’s Asian Excellence Awards. more >>>

Steve Rannazzisi | 10:00 PM
"Nobody wants to hang around a smart-ass, Stephen."

That's what a Catholic schoolteacher told Stephen Rannazzisi growing up in Long Island New York. Stephen went on to prove her wrong by "hanging out" or "pissing off" many different celebrities on this season of PUNK'D.

Stephen grew up on Long Island, New York and graduated from a SUNY college with a degree in Theater. After graduation, he left Long Island to pursue the only career he was suited for--entertaining. Upon his arrival in the big city, Stephen got a job as a doorman at the world-famous Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard. It was there that he honed his skills amongst some of the most prolific comics in the business, such as Eddie Griffin, Joe Rogan, and Andrew Dice Clay. And after winning over some of the toughest crowds in show business, Stephen would check id's at the door, answer phones in the office, and clean up vomit in the men's room. He also honed his craft of character acting at The Groundlings School and theater. All the hard work has started to pay off as the Hollywood industry has begun to take notice. Stephen was signed by top-level management and soon received his big break appearing as a cast member on MTV's PUNK'D.

"Great job!" said Ashton. "You really nailed it!!"

And, with the respect of his peers and an undying commitment to his craft, the future looks very bright for this talented young performer.

Chris D'Elia | 10:45 PM
Chris was 16 the first time he performed stand-up comedy. He would act up in church, so the pastor told him he could do some time on stage afterwards if he behaved himself. Well he didn't behave, but was still allowed to get on stage in front of everyone.

Although his church performance was a success, it would be years later that D'Elia actually started a career in stand-up comedy. East coast born, West coast raised, Chris found himself in Los Angeles, on stage anywhere he could get up-- from local coffee shops to various hole-in-the-wall dive bars. Performing every night of the week, he quickly became a regular at all the clubs in Hollywood. Chris's silly, physical humor is what sets him apart from other comedians. Chris explains, "I never really feel like just standing there and telling jokes. I wanna move around. In fact, it's hard for me to write a joke where I don't end up on the ground for some reason. Hey... at least that way I know no comics will steal my shit. Too many bruises."

His comedy has an emphasis on characters, maybe because of his background in acting. Chris has guest starred on such shows as "Monk" and "Boston Legal", among others.

In 2008 Chris toured the United States with fellow comedian JoKoy. In 2009 you can catch Chris's act on Showtime's new upcoming series "Live Nude Comedy". more >>>

Owen Smith | 11:00 PM
Watching Owen Smith on stage is like watching a conductor command an orchestra. His compelling 6’5” frame combined with his truthful, primal and unapologetic approach to his craft gives him license to lead his audiences on journeys they may not normally take with other comedians. His fresh takes on race, politics, relationships, and society has critics using adjectives like: “witty”, “clever”, and “brilliant” to describe his performances. Television and film star, Terry Crews (White Chicks, Everybody Hates Chris) says, “The future of comedy is here, and that future is Owen Smith!” Tichina Arnold star of Everybody Hates Chris believes, “Owen is going to be huge one day!” And sitcom legend, Ernest Thomas (What’s Happening, Everybody Hates Chris) says, “I was there when Sam Kinison, Eddie Murphy, and Jim Carrey all became superstars, and Owen is in that league!”

Owen Smith has multiple roles on the hit Chris Rock sitcom “Everybody Hates Chris”. His national McDonald’s “Cha-cha Slide” commercial has become one of the most popular McDonald’s commercials to date! Even Oprah Winfrey loves it. And as if that’s not enough, last fall, Owen filmed his very own one-hour Comedy Special “Anonymous” for TV and DVD. Other noted television appearances include: Crossing Jordan, Monk, Gilmore Girls, Premium Blend, Star Search, Latino Laugh Festival: The Show, HBO Comedy Minutes, Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, The Orlando Jones Show, National Lampoon’s Funny Money, NBC’s Friday Night, and BET’s Comic View. more >>>

Tim Gaither | 12:15 AM (Wed Nov. 18)
It all began in church at the age of five--One sunday the preacher called all the kids at the southern baptist church to the front to ask some questions in front of all the adults, when the preacher asked the small tow-headed boy what he thought hell would be like--he replied-"preacher-hell will be hotter than the Walmart parking lot on the fourth of july-barefoot'. The church erupted with laughter-the little boy was hooked on the sound and a comic was born. Fast forward 25 years and Tim Gaither has been a comedian for 10 years-eight professionally, working in 32 states so far and Korea for the USO and our troops. In mid January 2009 Tim moved to Hollywood and was made a paid regular at the world famous Comedy Store in near record time, In mid-march Tim earned the honor of best of Festival at the Detroit International Comedy Festival. Tim Gaither is hilarious --he doesnt back down from anyone--he has great material-quick wit-a wide range of original characters and stories and great one liners all spun together with midwestern charm in a laidback, confident manner. Tim Gaither is more comfortable on a stage than in his own living room--thus making the audience feel like he is in theirs, he has a way of uniting audiences of all backgrounds because they all see it coming from a good place in his heart. Nader Modarres | 12:30 AM (Wed Nov. 18)
Before becoming a comic, Nader (who's name rhymes with the sea animal “otter”) attempted, and failed miserably, at many other professions. The short list includes “rickshaw driver” and “video store owner.” Having been a huge fan of A&E's long defunct show “Evening at the Improv” as a child, one night he suggested to his girlfriend that maybe he should “try” stand up comedy. Her response? “Baby, you have to be funny in order to do that. No one thinks you're funny.” Well, as it turned out she was nothing more than an insane dream crusher and several years later she became his ex. Shortly thereafter Nader made the jump into the comedic abyss never to look back. Since that fateful evening you can see him performing nearly every night in various clubs and venues around Los Angeles and Southern California. He's proud to call The World Famous Comedy Store his home club and has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the business. He can also be heard co-hosting over one hundred-plus episodes of the “The Hollyweird Report” on National Lampoon Comedy Radio with Sam Tripoli. more >>>
