 Kim Carnes, Nashville singer/songwriter, has penned three number one country songs, including “The Heart Won’t Lie”, a smash duet for Reba McEntire and Vince Gill. She is most well known for performing Betty Davis Eyes, which spent nine non-consecutive weeks on top of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The single went on to become the highest seller of the year and won the Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
