Creative Welding Class, July 18-19
No experience necessary! In this workshop you'll learn to make cool stuff for your home or garden. The instructor will guide you through all the basic processes you need to use a cutting torch and welder to create your own works of art.
Date: March 21-22
Time: 10 am - 4 pm
Instructor(s): Julia Carpenter
Cost: $200 + Materials
Workshop provides equipment, supplies, and instruction in the use of both stick and mig welders. Students are welcome to bring their own welders if they prefer to learn on their own equipment

Sloss Furnaces Future Furnace Keepers Kids Club
For ages 4-12, the Future Furnace Keepers membership offers kids the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities at Sloss all year round. The new kids club not only allows children the opportunity to participate in activities at Sloss it gives Birmingham youth an opportunity to learn more about the history of Sloss and the importance of its industrial impact on Birmingham.
