Mike can be seen five days a week, delivering some serious news on KSL 5 TV. He's a field reporter and he's a comedian. Though he rarely does both at the same time. He got his start in TV News in the very glamorous state of South Dakota. A few years later, he moved on to report in Florida; in Jacksonville and Orlando, where he also decided to pursue a lifelong dream. That dream was to become a part-time comedian who also does the news.
Mike's comedy has been featured at the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival. He's also the winner of the STARZ "Stand Up Now" Comedy Competition. He's known for talking about his experiences as a Half-Asian, who looks Mexican… who may have been secretly adopted from a Mexican family, by a short Chinese woman. He also finds talking about himself in the third person to be a bit pretentious, which is why this bio will now come to an abrupt
