Dylan McDonald | 9:00 PM
If you were to ask Dylan McDonald to tell you a bit about himself, he would probably start with a long story about how he emerged from the mouth of a volcano on an alien spaceship navigated by a pteradactyl. And then proceed to lead you step by step by through the rock opera that has been running through his head for the past three years.

Actually, Dylan Michael McDonald is the rock spawn of five time Grammy award winner and R&B pop legend Michael McDonald as well as the equally talented Amy Holland with whom he has been experiencing a side of the music world for the past 21 years that few mere mortals have ever seen. Those are some mighty big shoes to fill and dont think that Dylan McDonald doesn't know it.

"I grew up on a tour bus listening to music like Neil Young and Emmy Lou Harris and Bob Dylan. Those were my influences. We travelled around like a family of gypsies" Dylan says. " So now, I feel the most at home out on the road. Touring and playing music is just about all I really know. I get restless if I stay in one place too long." Dylan's earliest recollections would bring a heartwarming smile to any longtime Doobie Brother's fan. Stories of nights on the tour bus with the sounds of his father's snoring from the back bunk and that "Miami Vice" suit it seemed like his father used to wear on stage everynight for a good 10 years straight. Dylan reflects on his upbringing with thoughtfulness and endearment, and in his music he is able to freely express his creativity and kind heart.

Dylan was born in Santa Barbara California and eventually moved with his family to a town outside Nashville. These days Dylan is still on the road. Keeping up with his schedule is hard even for his close friends and family but he is currently spending a bit more time in a Nashville recording studio laying down tracks for his above mentioned "special project" with local a local Nashville producer. Part rock opera, part animated comic book, Dylan seems really intent on taking his listeners on some kind of a trip. more >>>

Vermicious K'nids | 9:45 PM
We once smashed a large barrel of bees that consumed the entire world with incessant buzzing that eventually engulfed the entire universe in flames! From these flames grew giant mutant trees with heads like wolves that terrorized all living creatures for thousands upon thousands of years. From this reign grew a large bubble in the depths of the ocean that was feeding on fear and anger, like an ulcer pulsating in the blackness of sorrow. It grew and grew until the murky depths could no longer contain it's bulbous heart.

As the world watched it rise out of the ocean, the wolves stood motionless with their whips, and the slaves paused and let the wind chill their wounded backsides. Oh how it grew and grew and grew until it could not grow anymore. In one moment of silence that engulfed the entire universe the giant bubble exploded sending all emotion: hate, love, lust, fear, jealously, contempt, prejudice, and envy spiraling out into a blankness of nothing until a new universe was formed. From this universe grew a tree right in the center. Right smack-dab in the center. It was unlike anything anyone has ever seen. Golden branches upon golden branches. If one did not desire gold then it was silver, or brass, or simply wooden. Or simply not a tree at all. And from this tree grew everything anyone has ever known, as it's fruits would fall silent: down, down, down into the hands of unsuspecting consciousness.

And the bubble went on his merry way, making peace with all those minstrels that dance in the night sky. more >>>
