Murfreesboro's premier funk and soul group have been busy in the studio laying down tracks for their upcoming 2009 release "The Business Kit." Tight horn lines, gutbucket bass and beats, super fly guitars, rocking keys, and the fabulous vocal stylings of the one and only DeRoberts take you higher than high. They get you were you wanna go.

 Born of a bottle of Jim Beam around a table in Mt. Juliet, TN in 2001 and expanded to include horns and drums by mere process of evolution, Ballhog! brings to the world a 7-8 headed beast unlike any organization in their field. The band gracefully combines its three singer/songwriters with experienced musicianship to create a diverse sound that can only be classified as “original” music. Switching duties on both instruments and songwriting, the musicians of Ballhog have created a band whose roots spread from the Appalachian Mountain and juke joints of the south to mid-century 42nd St and beyond our nation's borders. Ballhog! recently celebrated the release of their first independently produced eponymous CD. |

Sky Hi is a diverse group of musicians based in the Murfreesboro, TN area which specializes in quality funk, groove, and soul music. The band consists of drums, bass, guitar, lead and backing vocals, vintage keys and synths, and an alto and tenor horn section. Supplemental players can include percussion, turntables, additional horns, and other guests.
These fellas are skilled instrumentalists, vocalists, producers, writers, scholars of soul, and all around professional nice guys. The band regularly performs throughout the Southeast, laying down deep funky grooves for folks from the coast to the mountain tops.
