John Betz, Jr. - Comedian and Mathematician
John was voted Carolina's Funniest Comic this year for good reason. Stories of teaching math and marriage highlight his easily relatable observational humor. He'll make you see simple things differently and will soon be one of your favorites.
John has opened for such comedy greats as Robert Schimmel, Kevin Pollak, Kathleen Madigan and more. He has appeared in the HBO Comedy Festival and was just missed a spot in the Montreal Comedy Festival in his first year of trying. He's also appeared in two PG-rated independent films that no one will ever see.
John Betz Jr's act is a fun, lighthearted, clever and above all witty look at his years as a teacher, his family and anything else that comes to his mind. His likable demeanor makes him a favorite in clubs, contests and most of all, here at Goodnights.
