CHRIS KARNEY
Chris Karney began entertaining the U S A when he competed in the first X Games of 1995. Corn fed and Mother loved since the bicentennial of our great nation, Karney is a true AmeriCan. Coming from a small Iowa town of 400, young Christopher left home at the tender age of fourteen to join the Mountain Dew Freeflite Bicycle Team. Today Chris Karney draws crowds larger than 400 for his one man show at San Francisco’s Pier 39 Center Stage.
Comedian, Magician, Bike Trickster, Smoker, Escape Artist and all around Nice Guy, Karney maneuvers his multi-considerable talents into exciting and engaging performances. Before and after a show Christopher is often entertaining guests with card tricks and coin manipulation. His audiences find themselves tickled with laughter as they reach for and secure their wallets and purses.
Karney has crossed the U S Homeland on a total of eight tours, from the vaudevillian “Schafner Players” to “Circus of the Kids” to the “Brooks and Dunn” tour of 2002. When taking a break from the road, Chris enjoys helping other performers. He developed “The Chris Karney Show,” a live variety show since 2001, where performers have a chance to push themselves and explore new levels of entertainment. “Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, but at least there’s a full bar.” CK.
