With a resume’ that encompasses nearly 30 years of acoustic musicality, the Mosier Brothers bring a unique look at Americana music to the masses. Jeff Mosier, who was the bluegrass tutor of Phish and founding member of Blueground Undergrass, was part of the original Col. Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit as well playing with some of the jamband heavyweights. Rounding out the core of the band is brother Johnny Mosier on guitar and David Blackmon, of Widespread Panic fame, on fiddle. They bring the down-home goodness of the old days together with versatility and virtuosity of today’s newgrass movement, as well as expanding on the original theme of acoustic music, which is community. As Jeff was quoted, ”I never want our music to lose the tradition of the porch no matter how much remodeling was done to the house over time.”

The UGA School of Law's Equal Justice Foundation will celebrate its 25 Anniversary Auction on Friday, February 26th at the Melting Point. All proceeds raised will go towards funding law students that wish to work in unpaid public interest positions during the summer months. The Public Interest Celebration will begin with a keynote address by former Senator Max Cleland. A reception will follow, which will give you the perfect opportunity to browse the diverse selection of silent auction items. The Live Auction will start promptly at 9pm.
