Reg's Coffee House presents: Greg Laswell w/ Elizabeth and the Catapult
Greg Laswell is already a critic's darling, and with the right marketing his second album will give him a proper shove into the mainstream. Through Toledo is an impressive collection of densely lyrical, deeply melodic indie pop that refuses to settle into predictability. Laswell -- on guitar, piano, drums, and production -- is clearly more than just another singer-songwriter. - Jonathan Zwickel - rhapsody.com

Joe Firstman w/ Civil Twilight
Jim Farber of the New York Daily News wrote: "In the songs of Joe Firstman, sensitive young men prowl the hills of Los Angeles, searching for fame and beauty, only to find self-destructive behavior and egos gone wild… While Hollywood's peaks and pitfalls have been prominently charted by songwriters from Don Henley, Stevie Nicks and Jackson Browne to Warren Zevon, Firstman aims to reinvent the milieu for his own generation."

Peter Bradley Adams w/ Antje Duvekot
Peter Bradley Adams recorded virtually all of "Gather Up" in his apartment throughout 2005 in-between his touring schedule. The record displays the breadth of Peter's influences, from Americana, to pop, to his classical training. Last year, Peter self-released a limited edition EP which was hailed by many, including the Boston Globe, who called it "a beautiful set of Americana music..... It confirms the dreamy-voiced Adams as an artist to follow...."

Gringo Star w/ Michelle Malone
By condensing a palette of swirling and innovative guitar voyages and a sweat-sokaed and broque punk ethos that loses itself in carpet-crawling majesty, Gringo Star has emerged as Atlanta's favorite rock and roll son. Brothers Nick and Peter Furgiule, along with Pete Delorenzo and Matt McCalvin have continually built steam by crisscrossing the country and noning their chops on rock and roll's frontline. Crafting and art-damaged and intense presence, the group's sound falls somewhere between the Animals, motown, and The Kinks: sexy, humble, and unmovable. In person the group's humble and soft-spoken demeanor instills a sense of alluring mystery. But on-stage Gringo Star explodes. Never ones to hang on to the same instruments for too long, on-stage each member of the group sprints and hurdles from station to station, swapping out guitar for bass for drums for voice.

Amber's Birthday Bash featuring: The Damnwells w/ Hightide Blues
In 2001, a photo assistant named Alex Dezen asked a couple friends to record a few songs with him. Shortly thereafter they would form the Brooklyn based rock band THE DAMNWELLS. Two years later they had toured the country, opened for rock legends, and had a song featured in a major motion picture. By 2004, they had signed a major record deal with EPIC Records (Sony/BMG).
