Live 100.5 & Reg's Coffee House present: Joshua Radin with special guests:The Watson Twins and The Kin
Though he enjoyed singing during his childhood in Cleveland, OH, Joshua Radin never intended to be a professional musician. Instead, he studied drawing and painting at Northwestern University, following his college years with stints as an art teacher, screenwriter, and art gallery employee. Eventually, he took a stab at songwriting and played one of his early compositions, "Winter," for his friend Zach Braff. The burgeoning actor/director took an immediate liking to the song, and "Winter" soon found its way onto Braff' TV show, Scrubs, in early 2004. After fans began to request more of his music, Radin decided to pursue a songwriting career and signed with Columbia Records, who issued his debut album We Were Here in 2006.

Minus the Bear w/ The Antlers & Twin Tigers
This is an All Ages show! Minus the Bear is a Seattle rock band with six releases to their credit. The band features ex-members of Botch, Kill Sadie, and Sharks Keep Moving. Their sound involves a mix of Pele-esque guitar-taps and electronics, with a Don Caballero-esque sophistication of composition.??Minus the Bear is known for their amusing song titles, with examples including "Hey, Wanna Throw Up? Get Me Naked," "Get Me Naked 2: Electric Boogaloo," "Monkey!!! Knife!!! Fight!!!," and "Lemurs, Man, Lemurs." Despite this light humor, the band's music is quite technical.

Pete Yorn w/ Isaac Russell
This is an All Ages show. New Jersey born rocker Pete Yorn taught himself to play his older brother's drum kit at the age of 9 and was learning the guitar by the time he turned 12. Music was something Pete was naturally drawn to, but like many things in his life it had to be on his terms. He had earlier rebelled against piano and violin lessons, showing no interest in learning music like a science. Instead he used his natural ability to play music just by hearing it in his head. It was this process which allowed him to begin creating his original songs. Pete was 12 years old when he went on vacation with his family in the Bahamas, he met a young girl from Pensacola, FL who introduced him to the music of Morrissey and the Smiths, this opened up Pete’s world even further. Being from suburban New Jersey, PY remembers gravitating toward that music instantly because it seemed so exotic at the time. The melodies touched his soul in a way that the then popular "hair band" genre did not.

Badfish - A Tribute to Sublime with Special Guest Scotty Don't
This is an All Ages show! The phenomenon known as Sublime, arguably the most energetic, original and uniquely eclectic band to emerge from any scene, anywhere, ended with the untimely death of lead singer, guitarist and songwriter Brad Nowell in May of 1996. But encompassing the sense of place and purpose long associated with Sublime’s music, Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime continues to channel the spirit of Sublime with a fury not felt for some time. What separates Badfish from other tribute bands is that they have replicated Sublime’s essence, developing a scene and dedicated following most commonly reserved for label-driven, mainstream acts. Badfish make their mark on the audience by playing with the spirit of Sublime. They perform not as Sublime would have, or did, but as Badfish does!

Reg's Coffee House presents: Son Volt w/ Peter Bruntnell
After spearheading the alt country movement with Uncle Tupelo, Jay Farrar pursued his vision with Son Volt, who recorded three landmark albums in the ’90s before the groundbreaking artist put the band on extended hiatus and cut three solo LPs. Missing the free exchange of ideas and the surprises that inevitably occur when a group of simpatico musicians lock together, Farrar assembled a new lineup of Son Volt in 2004.

An Evening with Josh Hoge & Tony Lucca
This is an ALL Ages show! Much like his hometown of Nashville, singer Josh Hoge represents Music City's competing spirits of tradition and rebellion. Yet, in a town known for the tradition of country music, there’s no denying that rock, pop and soul have all buried their roots into the streets of the city. Spend some time in the neighborhoods and you’ll see, hear and feel the collision of these musical styles. But it’s that very conflict of culture that has helped shape the sound of Josh Hoge – a combination of smooth Southern soul, gritty R&B and a rebellious heart in the tradition of legendary Nashville mavericks.
